Taking a Stand and Making a Difference!

Plagiarism:
Presenting someone else's ideas or expressions as your own is plagiarism, a form of cheating. Therefore, you must acknowledge the source of information you use in your project. There are two exceptions: 1) You do not need to credit your own ideas 2) You do not need to credit information that is considered common knowledge or that can be found in MANY sources. The first step in avoiding plagiarism is to indicate on each note card whether an idea is your own or common knowledge or whether it is a paraphrase, summary, or quotation that comes from one of your sources. All papers will be scanned by computer for possible plagarism.

Note: Copying & pasting a web page will result in a zero!
